The agricultural sector's reliance on the employment of migrant workers is rapidly increasing and Britco's staff quarters are a very cost-effective housing solution as they can be relocated during the off-season or to other properties as operational requirements change. Because they are built off site, there is no impact on the land or the company during construction.
Each building provides sleeping accommodations, a fully-equipped kitchen and eating area as well as washroom facilities. Each of the three bedrooms contains two captain beds with storage drawers, two closets, a desk and chair. The kitchen features custom-millwork cabinets and quality appliances including stacking washer/dryer.
The building is heated and cooled with a high efficiency, in-floor ducted forced-air furnace and AC condenser. The plumbing fixtures are low-flow for reduced water consumption thereby reducing the amount of waste water into the septic system. The kitchen range hood is a high capacity, ultra-low noise model with heat sensing technology to automatically increase output if excessive heat is sensed. |
